AI Transparency

SED Hub may use artificial intelligence to support parts of content development, learning assistance, internal workflow or digital experiences. AI should support—not replace—appropriate human judgement in education.

Learner-facing AI

Where AI functionality is made available directly to learners, it should be clearly identified and designed with age, safety, privacy and educational purpose in mind.

Human oversight

Important educational, safeguarding, contractual or high-impact decisions should not rely solely on automated AI output.

Accuracy

AI-generated material can be incomplete or incorrect. Educational content should be reviewed proportionately to its purpose before being relied upon.

Personal data

Personal information should not be placed into external AI systems unless there is an appropriate purpose, lawful basis and data-handling arrangement.
