Safeguarding

SED Hub treats learner safety as a core part of programme and platform design. Safeguarding procedures should be proportionate to the learners, delivery context and responsibilities agreed with schools, families or partner organisations.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Communication

Education communications should use approved channels and appropriate professional boundaries. Learners should not be encouraged to exchange unnecessary personal contact details with educators.

Digital learning

Portal access should use role-based permissions so learners, parents, educators and organisations only access information relevant to their role.

Concerns

Safeguarding concerns should be escalated promptly through the appropriate responsible adult, school, organisation or authority according to the delivery context and applicable procedure.

Emergency situations

The website and portal are not emergency-reporting services. Where someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service or responsible safeguarding authority.
